Vinted Shoppers Express Displeasure Over Sizing Modifications
Vinted users have been reacting angrily following a change that caused items being listed as the wrong size.
This online marketplace has updated its sizing categories for women's and children's clothes failing to inform every member regarding the update.
Social Media Backlash
Many shoppers and sellers are posting online saying Vinted listings now show a modified sizing category versus the original listing as a result of the reclassification.
The platform stated the updated approach better aligns with other platforms.
They have suggested members to check their listings and manually change the size if necessary, which has left users frustrated.
Sizing System Changes
Previously, the measurements included a single numeric size and a letter, like S/8 or M/10.
The revised method features an alphabetical indicator and numerical range like S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the size labels have been reassigned - like an L measurement was formerly size 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.

One content creator, who creates plus-size fashion videos, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Stephanie Gallen, based in Glasgow, said garments she listed on Vinted with size 14 labels were displaying on the service as size 20–22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they're going to be very disappointed," she explained.
Necessary Adjustments
Charlotte Lunn, from Derby, explained she became annoyed because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing".
"Personally, this is quite irritating, since I have chronic health issues and selling on Vinted has been paramount after experiencing income reduction," she stated.
Marketplace Information
The app has more than 100 million users, comprising 18 million UK members.
It has become a favored option versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This is not the initial instance that an unexpected update within the service has received backlash: previously, the platform withdrew an update regarding delivery choices due to shopper criticism.
